Her father, Santhosh Bhatia is a Diamond Merchant and mother’s name is Rajani Bhatia. Tamannaah has an elder brother whose name is Anand Bhatia. Earlier her name was Tamanna but due to numerological reasons, she has changed her name to Tamannaah.

Tamannaah Bhatia did her schooling at Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. After completing her secondary education she left her college and joined a distance education from National College, Mumbai. She has completed her Bachelor degree in Arts from there.

Tamannaah Bhatia has debuted in the Hindi film Chand Sa Roshan Chehra in 2005 as a lead role while she was only 15 years old. But the film was a commercial failure at the box office. She has also appeared in the Abhijeet Sawant’s album song “Lafzo Mein” from the album Aapka Abhijeet.
In the same year, i.e, on 2005 she has debuted in the Telugu Film Industry with the film Sri and on 2006, Tamannaah has debuted in the Tamil Film Industry with the film Kedi.
After that, she has done many films on different film industries. Her Bollywood career is not so good as her films are not a commercial success at the box office. Her films Himmatwala, Entertainment, Humshakals, Tutak Tutak Tutia etc were not so successful at the box office.
2015 and 2017 were very good for her as two of the great films of the same franchise were released. In 2015, Baahubali – The Beginning was released where she has played the character of Avanthika. And in 2017, the sequel, Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion was released. Both of this films were a massive success at the box office.
