Padman is an upcoming Hindi Comedy-Drama film directed by R. Balki and produced by Twinkle Khanna. Padman features Akshay Kumar as Laksmikant Chauhan, Sonam Kapoor as Rhea and Radhika Apte as Gayatri in lead roles and also features Amitabh Bachchan as a Cameo role.
It has no doubt that Akshay Kumar has done great movies in the past including Action, Comedy, Thrillers etc. Also some great movies with Social Message for the country. Now, this film also includes a social message.

The movie Padman is based on Twinkle Khanna’s book, “The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad”, which is inspired from the life of Arunachalam Muruganantham, who revolutionized the concept of menstrual hygiene in rural India by creating a low-cost sanitary napkins machine. Who would use rag cloths or leaves during periods where the use of sanitary napkins was rare. After he did not get fruitful results from his family and a medical college he approached, he decided to try it himself by making a uterus out of football bladder and filling goat’s blood in it. He would roam around the whole day with the bladder, the aim was to check the absorption rate of the sanitary napkins made by him.
In the poster, we have seen Akshay Kumar wearing white Kurta and Pyjama which shows a very humble look of him. As Akshay need no special dresses like Superman, Spiderman, Batman etc. In the poster, Akshay is seen standing on a heap of raw cotton, and the caption in the background reads, “Superhero Hai Yeh Pagla”.
